Our five-step plan to developing

- Identifying your default leadership style
To improve your leadership style and skills we first need to identify your default style before establishing your preferred style of leadership. Do you lead from the front? Do you seek the approval of others? Do you have a clear vision? What are your stress triggers? How do you behave in a crisis?Central to finding your own style is your ability to adopt and adapt different leadership styles and make them work for you. Authenticity also plays a huge part in defining your leadership style. If you feel confident in your leadership style, you will be acting authentically.
- Identify strengths
We’ll work with you to identify and develop your strengths. Knowing what you’re good at and playing to those strengths is important. You might not even realise what some of those key strengths are as you’ve always done them. We can help you identify and develop these strengths. - Turning weaknesses into strengths
A weakness is just a strength you haven’t yet developed. We can help you to develop your weaknesses into strengths. Some of them won’t feel natural but together we’ll find a way to use them that feels right to you. - Step outside your leadership comfort zone
Whether at work or at home, being open to new experiences and challenges will help you to develop your leadership style and skills. Stepping outside your comfort zone fosters resilience and adaptability, both of these are essential for developing your own leadership style. - Reflecting on your leadership style
Embedding a new leadership style takes time. It’s important to seek feedback when you’re developing a leadership style – that includes both the good and the bad. Learn from the feedback, don’t take it personally. As the adage states; ‘it’s a marathon not a sprint’.
